RT-PCR SuperMix is a mixture that contains reverse transcriptases, the hot start Taq high fidelity DNA polymerase, Mg2+ and dNTPs and stabilizers in an optimized reaction buffer. It’s a 5X concentrated SuperMix that contains all necessary components for the reverse transcription (RT) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification of a specific target RNA from either total RNA or mRNA in a single tube. It offers highly convenient, sensitive and robust mRNA detection. Just add RNA, target primers and start the cycling. This system uses a mixture of an engineered fusion RT and RnaUsScript RT to enhance cDNA synthesis capacity from various sources of RNAs at a temperature range of 40-55oC. The hot start Taq high fidelity DNA polymerase results in 7-fold higher fidelity RT-PCR products that provide faithful gene expression detection as well as gene cloning of up to 4 kb targets. The amount of input total RNA can range from 1 pg to 1 μg. However, it easily detects most of targets using less than 100 ng of total RNA input. Sufficient reagents are provided for 100 amplification reactions of 25 μl reaction volume each.
