October 2011 Current Events Thermophile 2011 - September 11 - 16, 2011 LeGene Biosciences was in attendance at the annual Thermophile 2011 summit, held at Big Sky, Montana, steps away from Yellowstone Park. The goal of this conference is to share and review discoveries and progress in thermophilic research across disciplines and applications. Topics discussed include the identification and cloning of thermophile phage encoded DNA ligase and nucleic acid-modifying enzymes from a hot pool bacteriophage metagenome.
